Homeward Bound is evaluating innovative approaches to supporting aging in place in rural Nova Scotia through interdisciplinary research across healthcare, housing, and social support.

Homeward Bound brings together researchers, healthcare providers, community organizations, and local partners to generate evidence that informs programs, policies and practices. 

Our research focuses on the real-world needs of older adults in rural Nova Scotian communities, helping to identify where supports are needed, and how we can address barriers that prevent aging in the right place.
